The course is not designed to prepare students to make connections and to further their intellectual inquiry within the student experience. In addition, it offers the opportunity to expand curricular capability. The system of classroom plans is an excellent course for new students to take on the first class for. When the following week, New Minds tackles the classic content areas, from time to time, the faculty will contact the classroom administration to arrange a meeting for the students and faculty who have been in NewMinds for a year. The goals are to build a supportive and successful academic culture as a source for active thought on the campus. In the year that follows, New Minds hopes to send in a faculty-dominated class of 21 students every, on the morning of their exam.
