The California Department of Education has made this provision known to the RABOE: “(There may be) non-profit related activity such as a non-profit association of nonprofit organizations; 501s and/or nonprofit associations of volunteer contributors of nonprofit, charitable, or educational material to private nonprofit or designated public sector institutions; non-profit or school business enterprises as defined in [S. 31-8] p. 82, including the uses of the funds obtained from the State Education Fund to such groups, individuals, and organizations” (emphasis added).
